The approach

Listen, assess and adapt.

Every first appointment begins with a conversation about why you are seeking treatment, your relevant health history and what you want to achieve. Nick may then use movement tests to understand the main area and how related regions are moving.

The treatment is shaped around what he finds and what feels appropriate to you. Pressure can be adjusted at any time. Sports or remedial massage does not need to be unnecessarily painful to be focused and purposeful.

“The body learns to adapt and compensate. Understanding those patterns helps treatment become more personal and precise.”

A life in movement

From contemporary dance to clinical massage.

Nick studied at London Contemporary Dance School and performed with the postgraduate company EDge. His professional work included contemporary dance, physical theatre and puppetry with organisations and artists including Fevered Sleep, English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Candoco, Dance United, Marc Brew and h2dance.

Receiving sports massage while touring in 2010 sparked his interest in injury care and the different ways soft-tissue treatment could support a working body. That experience led him to train at LSSM and later begin his osteopathy studies.
