1. Who is responsible for your information
Sports Massage Brighton & Hove, operated by Nick, is the data controller for personal information used to manage enquiries and massage appointments. Privacy questions can be sent to nick@sportsmassagehove.co.uk.
2. Information that may be collected
Depending on how you contact or book the service, information may include:
- your name, telephone number, email address and postcode;
- appointment preferences, visit address, parking and access details;
- booking, cancellation and payment information;
- messages and correspondence;
- relevant health, treatment, consent and aftercare records;
- limited technical security data needed to deliver and protect the website.
Please do not send detailed medical records through ordinary email. Relevant health information can be discussed through the agreed consultation process.
3. Why information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, arrange and manage appointments, assess whether massage may be suitable, provide and document treatment, process payments, meet tax and insurance requirements, handle complaints and protect clients and the practitioner.
4. Lawful bases
Personal information may be processed where necessary to take steps before or perform a service contract, meet a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests such as proportionate administration and record keeping, or where you have given consent. Health information is special-category data and is processed only where an appropriate condition applies, including explicit consent where used.
5. Booking and service providers
The online booking link opens a separate Sif Health booking service. Hosting, booking, payment, email, accounting, professional advisers, insurers or public authorities may process limited information where necessary. Each external service has its own privacy information and security responsibilities.
6. Retention
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably required for treatment continuity, professional and insurance requirements, tax and accounting obligations, complaints, legal claims and other lawful purposes. Enquiries that do not become appointments are deleted when no longer needed.
7. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, including encrypted web connections, access-controlled devices and limited access to records. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely risk-free.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data and withdraw consent. Some rights are limited where information must be kept for lawful professional, tax, insurance or legal reasons.
Send a request to nick@sportsmassagehove.co.uk. Identity may need to be verified. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated when services, providers or legal requirements change. The date above shows the current published version.
