1. Appointment confirmation
An appointment is confirmed when the booking service or Nick confirms the date, time, duration, location and price. Mobile appointments may also require confirmation of travel, parking and access arrangements.
2. Information you provide
Provide accurate contact and suitability information. For mobile visits, include the full address, postcode and important parking, stairs, lift or access information. Relevant health details should be discussed through the agreed consultation process.
3. First appointment
The first appointment includes a consultation about the reason for treatment and relevant health history. Nick may use movement tests before agreeing the treatment plan. The initial consultation is allowed for outside the 60-minute treatment time.
4. Mobile environment
A mobile treatment location must provide safe access and an appropriate indoor treatment space. Nick may decline to enter or stop a visit where access, hygiene, behaviour or the environment creates a safety or professional-boundary concern.
5. Health and suitability
Give honest, relevant information and report material health changes. Massage or needling may be adapted, postponed or declined when it is not considered appropriate, and another form of assessment may be recommended.
6. Consent, clothing and draping
Consent is ongoing. Areas to be treated, positioning, pressure, techniques and suitable clothing or draping are discussed. You may ask questions, decline a technique, request a change or stop treatment at any time. Nick may also stop for clinical, safety or professional-boundary reasons.
7. Needling
Dry needling or medical acupuncture is used only where Nick considers it appropriate and after suitability, expected sensations, alternatives and consent have been discussed.
8. Professional scope
Services advertised here are massage and soft-tissue therapy. Nick is a final-year osteopathy student, but osteopathic consultations are not currently offered. The service is not emergency care.
9. Fees, cancellation and conduct
The confirmed appointment price and any agreed mobile costs are payable using the stated method. The cancellation policy forms part of these terms. Inappropriate, threatening, discriminatory or sexual behaviour results in immediate termination and may be reported.
10. Emergencies
Sports Massage Brighton & Hove is not an emergency service. In a medical emergency call 999. For urgent non-life-threatening NHS advice, use NHS 111.
