1. Professional service
Sports Massage Brighton & Hove provides strictly professional massage and soft-tissue therapy. Sexual services, sexualised behaviour and inappropriate requests are not accepted.
2. Informed and ongoing consent
Nick explains the proposed areas, positioning, pressure and relevant techniques. Consent is ongoing, not a one-time signature. You may ask questions, decline a technique, request a change or stop treatment at any time.
3. Privacy, clothing and draping
You are given privacy to change. Suitable clothing and draping are discussed, and only the agreed treatment area is uncovered where removal of clothing has been agreed. Intimate areas are not treated.
4. Communication and touch
Nick checks comfort and pressure during treatment. Any unexpected or accidental contact should be acknowledged and addressed promptly. Concerns may be raised during or after the appointment.
5. Mobile-visit safety
The location must provide safe access and an appropriate professional treatment environment. Nick may use proportionate lone-worker safety procedures and may leave if the environment or behaviour creates concern.
6. Unacceptable behaviour
Harassment, sexual comments or conduct, threats, discrimination, intoxication that compromises consent, deliberate exposure or refusal to respect boundaries may result in immediate termination. The fee may remain payable and serious incidents may be reported.
7. Practitioner responsibilities
Nick is responsible for maintaining boundaries, protecting confidentiality, working within competence, avoiding conflicts of interest and suggesting another appropriate service or assessment where needed.
8. Raising a concern
If something felt unclear or inappropriate, use the complaints procedure. Immediate safety concerns should be reported to the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service.
